Figma with Webflow
Figma with Webflow
Everyone wants the plugin to be a button that turns a file into a site. What it actually gives you is a head start on structure, and the difference between a good Webflow build and a bad one is what happens in the hour after you press it.

What the integration covers
What syncs, and what needs a decision.
Wired up
- Frames brought over as real Webflow structure rather than absolutely positioned boxes
- Figma variables mapped onto Webflow variables, so colour and spacing stay one system
- Text styles landing on a type scale the site already has, not a new one per frame
- Components rebuilt as Webflow components, so an edit propagates the way the design intended
Flagged upfront
- The plugin names classes from your Figma layer names, so a file full of Frame 47 produces a stylesheet nobody can maintain
- Auto layout maps onto flex, but anything positioned by eye in Figma arrives as absolute positioning and does not respond
- Webflow has no equivalent of a Figma variant with five properties, so component variants are planned before the paste, not after
- Pasting a whole page in one go is how a project ends up with duplicate styles on every section; it goes over frame by frame
The plugin is genuinely useful and it is not a converter. What it does well is carry structure and variables across so you are not retyping a palette or rebuilding a card from a screenshot. What it does not do is make design decisions, and a Webflow site is mostly design decisions expressed as classes.
The single thing that determines whether the result is maintainable is Figma layer naming. Classes come from layer names, so a tidy file produces a tidy stylesheet and a file full of Frame 47 produces hundreds of classes nobody will ever reuse. If a project is going to move through this route, that cleanup happens in Figma, before anything is pasted.
The other honest limit is components. Figma variants and Webflow components are different models, and a variant matrix with several properties does not survive the trip. Deciding which of those become Webflow components, which become combo classes, and which were only ever a design convenience is work that belongs at the start.
