Shopify with Webflow

Shopify with Webflow

Webflow is a strong design layer. Shopify is a strong commerce engine. The integration works when the browsing experience and transaction flow have a clear boundary.

Ecommerce work like this usually takes 1–2 weeks

What the integration covers

What connects, and what we figure out first.

What connects

  • Shopify product data displayed on Webflow pages
  • Buy buttons, cart handoff or checkout links
  • Price and inventory updates from Shopify
  • Product and collection pages with a clear canonical strategy
  • Analytics across Webflow browsing and Shopify checkout

What we figure out first

  • Checkout stays on Shopify. Webflow can sell the product story, but Shopify should own payment, tax and order records.
  • Canonical URLs need a decision. Product content on two platforms can compete in search if the primary URL is not clear.
  • Large catalogs may not belong in Webflow CMS. A selective sync is often better than mirroring thousands of products.
  • Shopify paths have constraints. Product and collection URL patterns need to be planned around, not assumed away.

The split is simple: Webflow handles the pages that persuade people, Shopify handles the systems that complete and fulfill the order.

I decide how product data moves, where customers browse, where checkout starts and which URL search engines should treat as canonical. Those decisions matter more than the button style.

For small catalogs, Webflow can mirror enough product data to create a highly designed browsing experience. For larger catalogs, Shopify or a headless approach usually needs to remain closer to the source, with Webflow used for the marketing and editorial layers that benefit most from design control.
